It's my general observation, based on running internet discussions for
many years, that these things almost always calm down by themselves. I'm
always sorry to see anyone go, but people come and go in any Internet
group, and sometimes they go and come back. The best thing to do is
almost always nothing, because it's the most effective way of calming
things down.
Now, how about those Language poets? (Normally I'd say "How about those
Mets?" but this is too international a group.)
