Senior Lecturer/Reader in Clinical Trials Research
Full-time/Part-time (Minimum 50% fte)
The Clinical Trials Research Unit at the University of Leeds is a leader in the field of clinical trials research. The Unit conducts national and international randomised clinical trials in a variety of clinical fields (cancer, cardiovascular disease and care of the elderly) and has an associated methodological research portfolio.
This is a joint initiative, funded by the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, to develop a portfolio of clinical trials research in areas including cardiovascular disease, imaging, musculoskeletal disease and dentistry. We are looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Reader to develop the Portfolio.
With a relevant higher degree in medical statistics or health services research you will have highly developed leadership and people management skills. You will be a team player, along with the ability to think strategically, develop innovative practice and support organisational change. You will make some contribution to teaching at undergraduate/post graduate level and have a nationally recognised research profile in clinical trials or medical statistics.
The post is available for a fixed term of 3 years, with the possibility of extension dependent on funding
University Grade 9 Senior Lecturer (£40,335-£46,758p.a.) or Reader (£40,335-£51,094 p.a.) depending on experience
