I think he must state his evidence explicitly somewhere, because I am
relying on Nick Sandon's Use of Salisbury, Vol. 2 (Rev. ed., 2000): "This
calendar also shows dates relevant to the introduction [of?] some of the
later Sarum feasts ... those in bold type are quoted from R.W. Pfaff's 'New
Liturgical Feasts in later medieval England'. Frere's dates are based on
varied evidence ... Pfaff's are consistently based on the proceedings of the
Canterbury Convocation, and may give a more accurate impression of the
introduction and general acceptance of the later feasts."
