The Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences is one of the leading
academic centres for
profession-specific and inter-professional health and social care
education in the UK.
This well established partnership between Kingston University and St
George's,
University of London provides excellent opportunities to contribute to
collaborative research
and to the Institute of Interprofessional Practice and Learning, which
is part of the new
South West London Academic Network (Swan) with Royal Holloway,
University of London.
We are now seeking to build upon our strengths and to foster
inter-disciplinary research
relationships through the leadership provided by this high profile post.
*Professor of Health Policy Ref: 608/07*
We are looking for a Professor of Health Policy to work in our expanding
interdisciplinary
health and social care research group. The postholder will lead a group
of social
scientists to build world class policy research in the fields of health
care organisations,
changing professional roles and public engagement. It is envisaged that
the successful
candidate will have a strong background in the social sciences applied
to health and
social care and will contribute to our existing research themes, for
example service
users' understanding of and involvement in health and social care; the
changing nature
of professional work and interprofessional relations.
You are expected to have a strong RAE record, with publications in leading
international journals, a track record of grant income and experience of
research
leadership and teaching at postgraduate level.
