Who should attend?
The NoWAL middle management theme is aimed at staff working within library and information services at middle/intermediate management level and above.
This workshop is designed for managers who are responsible for achieving results in a climate of continuous change. It will help participants to identify the key components of managing change effectively.
Objectives:
At the end of the course participants will be able to:
* Analyse the factors involved in a change situation.
* Identify and use techniques available to help manage the situational aspects of change.
* Outline ways to help people through personal transition during the change cycle.
About the tutor
Deborah has been working as a freelance consultant for over 15 years, primarily within the public sector. Her client organisations range over a number of universities, colleges, libraries, NHS trusts, magistrates` courts and police forces. Deborah has a keen interest in many areas of behavioural training including interpersonal skill development, assertiveness, emotional intelligence and management training. She believes that people learn more effectively if they are involved in the process and her sessions are therefore highly participative and enjoyable!
