Dear all
I have received this enquiry from the assistant producer at the
production company Taglia Telly.
If anyone has Ogilby maps that they can make available for use on
television then please contact Ali direct at [log in to unmask]
.
David
PS In case you were wondering, we don't have any examples of "the first
ever map of Wales" here at Portsmouth ;-)

David -
I am assistant producer on 'Ogilvy's Roads' a 4 part series for BBC
Wales -
presented by Terry Jones (Monty Python fame). This series traces the
route
of Ogilvy, the 17th Century map maker as he recorded the first ever map
of
Wales.
This is day one of production and the first thing I need to do is
locate his
maps and then establish fees and clearances for using the maps on
television. I am working to my directors notes and understand that some
of
his maps may be with your dept or you may have access to them? Forgive
my
ignorance if this is all ridiculous - but hopefully I am on the right
track
and you will be able to help me on my map quest!
Thank you for your time
