medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
There were corporals connected with blood miracles, most notably that from the Miracle at Bolsena, now reserved at Orvieto Cathedral.

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
A corporale is a piece of cloth (like a napkin) used under the bread
and chalice during the celebration of the transubstantiation at the
Catholic mass (Latin 'corporale' meaning 'referring to the body [of
Christ]'). So a saint corporale may well be not a person but a sacred
object that fits Suzanne Hevelone's description.
