Strictly of course the DWP are responsible for documenting it - the
Pensions Agency maintains a record, I think on a long strip of
cardboard, of our working history.
This being the central record, and the least arguable one, it seems in
tune with the zeitgeist of the State that access to it should be
provided to all who present a convincing need or permission.
