'Chronic Lyme Disease' seems to be the problem... - shades of 'Railway
Spine' perhaps?

Subject: Attorney General to Investigate IDSA Guidelines
Hi!
One of the collections we include in the TRIP Database
(www.tripdatabase.com) is the American National Guideline Clearinghouse.
We have just been approached with a request to remove one of these
guidelines, the Infectious Diseases Society of America practice guidelines
for clinical assessment, treatment and prevention of Lyme disease, human
granulocytic anaplasmosis, and babesiosis
(http://www.guideline.gov/summary/summary.aspx?doc_id=9537&nbr=5085&ss=6&xl=
999).
The reason for this request is that, apparently, the Connecticut DA is
examining these guideline due to bias
(http://www.canlyme.com/Blum_IDSA_invest_06.html).
I'm wondering if anyone has any views on the case and/or the potential
ramifications of this!
Best wishes
jon
