Hey,
I've found that just using imcalc with an I1 does not work for me,
however, if I have another image in the same space as the image I'm
trying to remove the .mat file from (which does not itself have a mat
file). If I choose the image without the mat file first, then choose
the image I want to update, and use I2 as my formula, the file gets
written without a .mat file. This can obviously be coded up in matlab
to loop over many files if needed.
