medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Marjorie,
For what little it's worth, I have looked at all the plates in Irina Andreescu (now Irina Andreescu-Treadgold), "Torcello. III. La chronologie relative des mosaïques pariétales," _Dumbarton Oaks Papers_ 30 (1976) 245-351, and have not found your Gabriel. The reason for that is that the extensive documentation available to A. on the various restorations of these mosaics included nothing on the Anunciation scene, whose restoration A. places (p. 274, n. 78) prior to 1919.
Best again,
John Dillon
