This may be a "stupid question", but how does one dedicate an altar to the
Holy
Trinity? I'm not aware of the existence of relics. The whole idea strikes
me as
being related to what I (rightly or wrongly) associate with an early
Christian
propensity to dedicate churches to "mysteries", such as Holy Wisdom or
Divine
Harmony, rather than saints.
Baffled,

Not only is our parish church dedicated to Holy Trinity, but in 1524 a
chantry was founded 'at the altar of Holy Trinity for King, Queen and
himself'. Himself was the parish priest William Birde who was also the
chantry priest.
I suspect the chantry was set up partly for the local Corpus Christi Guild
and would like to know of any references to Corpus Christi and the Holy
Trinity.
