medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
If I may interject on this point about music in Brother Sun, Sister Moon: according to the credits on the film and the video jacket , all music was composed and sung by Donovan. One dead give away on the singing: Cat's voice is deeper than Donovan's. But I concur, Frans, that the music has a Cat Stevens quality about it.
(apologies for the venture into things of the 20th century).

"The rush and pressure of modern life is a form, perhaps the most common form, of its innate violence. To allow oneself...to surrender to too many demands, to commit oneself to too many projects, to want to help everyone in
everything, is to succumb to violence. More than that, it is cooperation in violence." Thomas Merton, Conjectures of a Guilty Bystander

Nancy: I'm confused now, and you're probably right, because I live in the Stone Age when it comes to popular culture. But is it perhaps just the one final song that was by Cat Stevens?
(George: this is re medievalism and medieval religion, so I hope your wrath will not censure this.)

A minor detail, but I think the Brother Sun, Sister Moon soundtrack is by
Donovan.
