I'm hoping someone can help. I work for a voluntary sector umbrella
organisation, providing support services and representing the interests of
charities, community groups and voluntary organisations in Fife. This year
we have been working with our client groups to develop a Voluntary Sector
Manifesto for the local elections in 2007. This manifesto is still in
draft format, but will cover issues such as longer-term funding agreements
and full cost recovery.
We are keen to have a fairly high profile launch of this Manifesto early
next year, and thought that the writer Ian Rankin would be a good
candidate with his connections to Fife and patronage of a large charity.
However, the only contact details I can find for him are via his
publisher. I wondered if anyone in the public library field had had
contact with Ian and knows if there is a more direct way to get in touch?
It's maybe a bit of a long shot, but librarians are known for their inside
information! If anyone can help, I'd be really grateful. Yours,
Carole Patrick
