Dear all,
Following the success of last years Post-Graduate "Research in Progress" in
Durham, we're moving even further north! This year’s session will be held in
Glasgow and is being organised by two Glasgow postgrads, Jamie Kirkpatrick
and Aisling Soden. If you haven't attended previous meetings it is a great
opportunity for all postgraduates to practice presentation skills in an
informal setting, discuss research interests, and meet their colleagues.
Jamie and Aisling are planning to hold the meeting over the weekend of
17th-19th November 2006. The weekend will begin with food and drinks on
Friday 17th, followed by presentations on the Saturday, and if there is
enough interest they will organise a field trip for Sunday 19th. We hope to
have 2 guest speakers at the meeting, details of which will be available
later.
COST: £20, which will be refunded at registration for TSG 2007.
ACCOMMODATION: Depending on the level of interest there will either be
enough floor space or we will find the cheapest accommodation we can!
All postgrads are encouraged to attend, particularly new students and those
interested in studying at PhD level. This is a great opportunity to practice
your presentation skills for conferences later in the year so please do come
along.
If you think you would like to attend the meeting, or have any questions
about the arrangements, then please get in touch with either Aisling or
Jamie.
