medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I'd buy the argument about Odo's importance.
There's an article by Elizabeth A.R. Brown & Michael Cothren in the _Journal of
the Warburg & Courtauld Institutes_ (1986) that suggests one of Saint-Denis'
windows was not Suger's, but Odo's doing. One could perhaps extrapolate
(though they don't) that the entire program lay in Suger's inspiration but
Odo's execution.
Best,
Matt Gabriele
