medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
A question for all who have been discussing Irish bishops in England (and possibly others):
would these bishops have brought distinctively Irish liturgical books with them? And how
would "irish" liturgical books be identified in the 15th - 16th centuries? By the feasts included?
Distinctive forms of handwriting? Would such books be likely to mention something like
the name of the diocese where they were current?
With thanks,
Meg
