Hey, you know the weird third-down-the-line consequence of that "incident of
plagarism"? In -- I think it's only there, current editions have "Perfect"
back -- the Macmillan/America 1969 "Collected Poems", McDiarmid, in
deference to the critical outrage provoked, replaced it with a short poem
called "Beyond the Blue" -- except +that+ poem is a straight lift from a few
lines in Hart Crane's "The Bridge".
Talk about giving the finger with elegance and wit ...
