The Love Libraries campaign is currently developing a strategy to market
and deliver services more effectively to adults, who have stopped using
their library service because they are too busy and find it more
convenient to use other outlets to source their reading materials.
We are looking for thoughts and best practice from colleagues in libraries
across the country, who have already developed innovative ways of reaching
the so-called ‘time poor’ audience. You may have found a particularly
successful way of making people more aware of online services, like your
online catalogue and reservations service, or you may have purchased drop
boxes which enable people to leave their returned library items in other
convenient community locations. Or you may have piloted a postal delivery
service, which enables customers to reserve online and get the item
delivered to their front door.
If you have useful experiences on any of these areas of service
development which you are willing to share with the Love Libraries team,
please contact Catherine Howard on [log in to unmask]
