Due to my 'neurodiverse' impairments and 'not' having the specialist
'assistive-technology', aid-memoirs, equipment, note taker and any other
support that I need and I have had to amend my previous email, due to
mistakes in writing.
Dear John Heffernan, ERYC Social Services and Deon Falcon and Dr Marwah,
Local NHS PCT's/Trusts and District Judge Besford, Hull Combined Courts and
Chris Topping and Jayne Doran, Solicitors also Health Service Ombudsman and
GSCC et al....
***Ms Pottage has given me permission to disclose her name and send this
this information about her diagnoses and health and social care treaments
and support being offered at The Retreat, York, by Dr Susan Mitchell and
others to enable all autistic/neurodiverse adults and their families/carers
to feel empowered in getting the appropriate specialist health and social
care they need.
Why have I not been referred to The Retreat Hospital, York? See link for
full details:-
http://www.retreat-hospital.org/services.php
I am informed they offer specialist health and social care treatments,
therapies and support packages for adults with Autistic Spectrum
Disorders(Asperger Syndrome) and other 'neurodiverse' impairments,
especially Dr Susan Mitchell.
I am informed by Hazel Pottage,Trustee and friend and colleague Hull and E.
Riding Mental Health Action Group, that she has just been diagnosed by Dr
Susan Mitchell, from The Retreat Hospital, with Asperger Syndrome and other
'neurodiverse' impairments, after I had told Ms Pottage myself years ago,
that she had been misdiagnosed in the past and I believed she has Asperger
Syndrome and other neurodiverse impairments (dyspraxia and dyslexia).
I was right, like in many other cases locally and nationally that I have
been involved with and supported as an 'expert-paitient' and professional,
but for doing this I've suffered continuious
'victimisation', 'harrassment', 'bullying', 'discrimination' and 'abuse' and
been 'socially-excluded' for 'speaking out' and registering my disabled
professional neurodiverse 'voice' towards all the Hull and E. Riding 'public
bodies' in my own case.
Also I've suffered continuous 'hostility' and 'defensive' discriminatory
'disablist attitudes and behaviour by various officers within East Riding of
Yorkshire Council, local NHS Trusts, Humberside Police/IPCC and other public
bodies for registering and recording all my complaints, concerns and basic
human rights and civil liberties protests in my own case and also on behalf
of other autistic spectrum disorders/neurodiverse adults, children, families
and carers within my professional local, national and international basic
human rights and civil liberties campaigning activist), educational,
(peer)advocacy, advisory and research voluntary work, within the disabled
people's, neurodiversity, inclusion, survivors and independent living
movements all these years.
For years I have encouraged all these people, like Ms Pottage and others to
get the appropriate neurodiverse ASD's/Neurodiverse 'diagnoses' and
appropraite specialist health and social care treatments, therapies and
support programmes they need, but I myself for 'speaking-out' I am being
continually discriminated and abused in receiving the specialist health and
social care I have been assessed as needing and some of other
'autistic/neurodiverse' people that I have supported, campaigned and
'spoken-out' for are being referred to places like The Retreat, in York.
Why has Ms Pottage and others been referred to The Retreat Hospital, by ERYC
Social Services and local East Yorkshire PCT's/NHS Trusts, but not myself?
This is totally unfair and sounds like discrimination and abuse of my basic
human rights and civil liberties.
I can't believe after all these years no one has referred me to Dr Mitchell
and others at The Retreat Hospital York.
Can you please get back to me immediately with answers to the reasons why I
have not been referred to The Retreat Hospital after all these years when
it's only in York, that's right on the border of East Riding of Yorkshire?
Your Sincerely
Colin Revell
