medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Slightly off topic, but good for Trivial Pursuit:
Troika is a Russian term for a carriage drawn by three horses abreast. In the US you can also find three horse carriages where two of the horses are abreast and the third is in front (sometimes mounted). The carriages used in the former situation are rigged a bit differently than in the latter, but there is no reason for driving to require even numbers of horses.
