Ian Stewart, the author of the book featured on that page on amazon would
surely be interested in such a juxtaposition wouldn't he?
Let's all write to him and tell him.
I did and this is what I wrote: I found his email address following a simple
google trawl ... [log in to unmask]
Dear Ian,
I hope I am writing to the right Ian Stewart as you are not unique!
However, through a web based plagiarism discussion list I have been given
this URL
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0465082319/qid%3D1141302568/203-83
98198-3883154) that features one of your books and advertising links to
three essay mills. As an academic you must surely be outraged that
amazon.co.uk would juxtapose your work with that of organisations whose aims
are to help students to cheat at worst and take significant short cuts at
best.
I urge you to write to amazon.co.uk to tell them to cease and desist such a
marketing campaign on the ground that you would withdraw your support for
them if they didn't.
Your help here would be invaluable as I'm sure you can appreciate.
Best wishes
Duncan Williamson

Subject: Amazon
It was brought to my attention by a collegaue that a link a good book at
Amazon
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0465082319/qid%3D1141302568/203-839

suggests that customers might also be interested in purchasing customised
essays. I am disappointed and surprised that Amazon are trading in this
way. It seems completely wrong to me and I have told people high up in our
University.
I just thought you might like to know.
