It is far too simplistic to label students as "cheats" there are more
complex actions and interactions involved in plagiarism. Perhaps we
need to make it clear what the culture of higher education is about. It
may be very different from students past experiences and rather than
accommodate we should work to understand. Perhaps "understanding"
sounds a little soft, but how can we deal with the phenomenon if we
don't understand it.
