there are currently strong staff research interests in
the social

of and in the popular and literary culture of the FRG

currently reflected in

organisation of a major international conference in
Liverpool ('Two
Nations, One People? The German Cold-War Experience',
September 2006):

More broadly, the proposed PG studentship complements
research
undertaken
in School's 'Visual Cultures' and 'War and Conflict'
