Apologies for cross-posting
The Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Section of UCR will be
holding its AGM at Oxford University's newest purpose-built library, the
Social Sciences Library (SSL) at 2 pm on Tuesday 21 March. SSL is the
first of a series of integrated libraries planned by the university, and
there will
be a tour of the Library and a talk by SSL's Deputy Librarian, Louise
Clarke.
Please join us and see how Oxford University is developing and
implementing academic libraries for the 21st century.
The event is free, but we do need to know numbers for catering (tea and
cake will be provided!). Please email me to reserve a place. Full
details,
and a downloadable booking form, are available on our website:
http://www.ucrg.org.uk/contact/branches/bbo/AGM/agm2006.htm
We are always looking for active and enthusiastic people to join the
committee, so if you are interested in professional development
opportunities and the chance to make a difference in your area, this
could be
your moment. If you live or work in the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire or
Oxfordshire counties, feel free to contact me for an informal chat about
what
is involved.
