Atkins (formerly WS Atkins) is one of the largest and most successful
multi-disciplined consultancies in Europe with offices in over 40 countries
worldwide. Atkins Geospatial is a leading independent supplier of Geographic
Information Services and Solutions.
We have a specific and urgent requirement for GIS professionals with
proven Geomedia experience, preferably in the transport sector. The
position will be based in Central London. The successful candidates will be
enthusiastic and flexible, providing a positive contribution to a team who
work within a project-controlled environment, often to tight deadlines, but
who continually seek innovative and fresh solutions for a rapidly changing
marketplace.
SENIOR CONSULTANT
Needs to be comfortable working in a high-profile consultancy role, with
client liason, and have a minimum of 5 years industry experience, preferably
in a relevant industry sector, such as water, environment, telecoms, rail.
You must have solid Geomedia experience.
The kinds of skills and experience that we seek (although we don't
expect all of them in one individual!) include:
-Solid experience in Geomedia, including application development.
-Requirements Analysis, Solutions/System architecture
-Practical experience of working within multidisciplinary teams within a
combined CAD/GIS environment
-Data Management
CONSULTANT
Able to work in a highly variable environment, thriving under pressure to
deliver quality solutions to tight deadlines. You must have proven Geomedia
experience. Ideally, you will have been working in the transport sector,
where CAD/GIS data have been fully integrated, and be familiar with good
data management practice with a minimum of 2 years industry experience.
The posts are initially for 3 months but with a possibility for extension or
a permanent contract.
