GIS Analyst/Developer

Information Services and Solutions.
We have an opening for mid-level GIS Analyst/Developer with a sound
knowledge of the latest ESRI GIS software packages and experience in
developing applications. Specific for involvement in large scale GIS
development projects for the Olympics 2012.
Based in the Central London with project responsibilities and support role
for different work-stream disciplines within the Park Wide Design Team. The
candidate will be required to work with an enterprise ESRI GIS system within
a consortium team of GIS analysts and liaise with the ODA and other
consortium members. Significant demands are often placed on the GIS team to
meet tight deadlines so the candidate must be able to work under pressure.
A significant amount of the data produced by the Design Team is in CAD
format. Knowledge of how CAD data is constructed and experience of CAD-GIS
interoperability is essential. Another important part of the role will be
handling different data formats and processing files in readiness for
uploading to ArcSDE.
Essential Skills:
ArcGIS 9.x suite including Extensions
Metadata development and policing
Knowledge of CAD data and CAD-GIS interoperability
Optional/Preferred Additional Skills:
Interface Customisation
ArcGIS Geoprocessing – model builder and scripting
Some SQL/Oracle exposure
ArcSDE/ArcIMS/ArcGIS Server knowledge
Minimum 2 (post MSc) – 5 Years experience
Application Development
ERDAS Imagine/ER Mapper
Town Planning experience
MapInfo
Asp.net/other web development skills
Qualifications
MSc in GIS and or Remote Sensing/Geomatics or five years relevant experience.
