Local devotion to B.'s memory, together with a number of post-mortem
miracles, led to his canonization by his successor, bishop Lanfranc, on
3. December 1139, the vigil of the sixth anniversary of his death; his
feast appears for today, 4. December, in Parma's oldest surviving
eclesiastical calendar (13th cent.). B. is the principal patron of the
diocese of Parma.
On the day before he consecrated B. bishop of Parma in 1106, Paschal II
consecrated Parma's then new cathedral. The latter is now celebrating
its nonocentenary in a jubilee year that begins today:

An Italian-language account of this building, concentrating on its
medieval aspects, is here:

and an aerial view of it, together with Parma's famous baptistery
(rather later than B. and thus tangential to this note), is here:

Somewhat tangentially, here's a page on Roman and medieval Parma, with
expandable views (esp. good for the baptistery):

Other good, expandable views of the baptistery are here:

A Google search for "Benedetto Antelami" will bring up links to several
sites featuring examples of his work on the baptistery.
A site in the vicinity of Parma routinely linked with B., if only
conjecturally, is the church of the former Vallombrosan monastery at
Lesignano de' Bagni (PR) now usually referred to as the Badia Cavana.
This is an originally early twelfth-century structure several times
rebuilt; it has an interesting and fairly substantial narthex, though by
no means so grandiose as that of Casale Monferrato's cathedral of St.
Evasius ("saints of the day", 1. December 2005). Italian-language and
English-language accounts of this building are here:

PS: To be sure, Parma and its vicinity have other associations. Here's
