RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
£20,842 - £22,774 per annum
Fixed term for 12 months
A Research Associate is sought to assist in the execution of a
collaborative research project between the Universities of Loughborough
and Lancaster on 'The globalization of the executive search industry in
Europe', funded by the Economic and Social Research Council.
Specifically, the post will involve undertaking: interview-based
fieldwork with firms in London and several European cities, seeking
data on corporate strategy; establishing an industry specific Advisory
Committee and end of award Conference; and making a contribution to
ongoing desk-based research on the executive search industry in
mainland Europe since c1970. The post-holder will be based in
Loughborough for the duration of the project.
Candidates will ideally hold, or be about to obtain, a PhD in a
suitable Social Science discipline (human geography, international
business, strategy, economics, sociology, economic sociology).
Knowledge of qualitative research methods and experience of undertaking
fieldwork in Europe will be an advantage.
