A Review of Public Information Provision in the North East
Consultant's Brief available at: http://www.nemlac.co.uk/nemlac/page.php3?59
Applications to tender are invited from suitably qualified and
experienced individuals, companies or organisations to undertake a
project to review health and social care information provided by
public sector libraries and health and social care organisations to
the general public in the North East region of England.
By identifying current provision in the region and best practice here
and elsewhere it is expected that a model for future co-ordinated and
sustainable provision in the North East will be constructed. A
successful project outcome will deliver against a number of key local,
regional and national initiatives which aim to support access to
better health information, enabling the patient to be more informed of
their condition and thus make choices about improving their health.
NEMLAC - the North East Museums Libraries and Archives Council – will
manage the contract with the successful bidder in partnership with
representatives from Northumberland Tyne & Wear Strategic Health
Authority, County Durham & Tees Valley Strategic Health Authority and
Skills for Care North East.
An inclusive fee of £20,000 is available for the project which must be
concluded by Friday 28th October, 2005.
Tenders must be received by 12.00 noon on Friday 1st July, 2005
