Hello Everyone,
My name is Margaret Mathiang, a disability scholar from Southern Sudan
and I am currently taking an advisory role in encouraging some
disability interest groups and upcoming disabled people's indigenous
organizations in southern Sudan to form working network.
Southern Sudan have suffered a long civil war over (2 decades) which
left so many people with impairments through landmines, malnutrition,
direct gun wounds, snake bites etc. As the war comes to an end with the
signing of the peace agreement early this year, there is a great need
to support the disabled people in whatever way possible.
I would like to know if there is someone who knows about any foundation
or individuals with interest to support the disabled people in southern
Sudan either with researchers and specialists wwho can offer technical
support (e.g. provision of artificial limbs), build the capacities of
the disabled people and their organizations or with materials.
Thank you for your understanding.
Faithfully yours,
Margaret Mathiang
