medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Hi Tom,
And thanks for your message! By all means, as you are in India, you MUST speak to your taxi driver about the papacy in a Hindu context, and give him a tip if you like. My request is not dissimilar: we are electronically in communication via a forum dedicated to 'scholarly discussions of medieval religious culture' (see header of message), so that's the context in which the papal election should be discussed.
You don't have to tip me :-)
All good wishes, George

Why, George? This is an enormous event! Catholics the world over are
talking about it in every mode, via every mode possible. I am in
Bombay, India, right now and my taxi driver, who is a Hindu talks
about it. Should I tell him to keep in a Hindu context, and no tip if
he mentions it again? yrs, tom ault
