Emne: Re: Directory of Structural Geologists and Tectonists; TecTask
calls for enrollment
Hi Alan,
there is no intention to compete with the GEOTECTONICS mail list and no
need to reinvent the wheel in terms of a successful forum for discussion
and information. Actually we wish to involve John Whalley's mail list as
much as possible in TecTask's information and communication efforts (as we
already did by circulating the call through GEOTECTONICS).
The scope of TecTask's web based directory goes beyond an open mail list as
we want to provide a useful resource for data, contacts, training and
education activities/material etc. accessible to all interested individuals
- not only to those inside the Euro/N-American-phone circuit.
Well, we may have little to offer, except the enthusiasm for bringing our
community closer together and the desire to provide all colleagues around
the world with a fair opportunity to participate in the development of our
science.
Perhaps, you would like to be the first pin-up posted on the web site?
Thanks for your good wishes
Best regards
Hermann
