the first large-scale package tour. actually the first i can see (for
really large numbers) was 1027 with a number of high-level "french"
aristocrats going, including the count of angouleme about whom i wrote
in my book on Ademar. (he gets poisoned, probably by his
daughter-in-law, upon return.)
