Middlesbrough Libraries changed a vehicle recently, approx 7500 kg laden,
8m x 2.4m x 2m. We have four trolleys and partial shelving on one wall and
shelving the height of the other, with shelving the height of the back
wall. The vehicle is used in an urban environment, primarily for services
to nursing homes and residencies, as well as by walk-on clients, hence the
trolleys. The trolleys are also loaded with differing material on each side
turned outward as appropriate, e.g. junior for schools, Large Print for
elders.
The trolleys and the vehicle are also designed to carry People's Network
Computers.
The livery seems to have had the biggest impact. It uses symbols and
imagery from some of our leaflets and is intended to support a corporate
identity. I attach a picture.
