Agreed, on both counts. The exterior shots of Trani cathedral are not
much of a muchness. But there are seven very valuable pages of views
(mostly detail) of Barisano's bronze doors. These commence at:

isano_da_trani_c1180/

And can be reached from the link on the "Recent Additions" page,
whereas a Google search for "Trani" and "doors" brings up (at least
initially; I stopped after four pages of hits) only this related page
with selected views only:

The photographs of Santa Sofia at Benevento are very welcome, as
there's surprisingly little on the free web documenting details of this
important monument:
http://rubens.anu.edu.au/italy2004/benevento/churches/santa_sophia/
esp. the cloister capitals (14 pages):
http://rubens.anu.edu.au/italy2004/benevento/churches/santa_sophia/clois
ter/
Personal favorites include the hunting scenes here:

ter/index4.html

The absence of identifying text can be problematic, though.
This is clearly a work in progress. If you're looking for a particular
site, the fullest indexing appears to be under "Countries" and then its
sub-headings.
Thanks again,
John Dillon
