Just a quick question - I will summarise responses back to the list.
I am interested to know what policy other authorities have regarding the
deletion of catalogue / item records for items that have been i) defaulted
on, ii) missing from stock, i.e. not on loan but also not on shelves or
iii) in transit between libraries & lost.
I think most authorities do a periodic purge of their databases; but what
is the cutoff point - 3 , 5, 7 years - higher?
Many thanks
