Computers in Art and Design Education (CADE) Postgraduate Forum and General
Meeting 2005
Wednesday 23rd & Thursday 24th March
Watershed, Bristol
Postgraduate research students who are involved with digital media are
invited to present their work the CADE Postgraduate Forum. The forum aims to
provide a safe environment within which students can discuss their work and
receive advice from fellow students and academics.
In contrast to previous events this year's forum will take place over two
days and will also include presentations by invited speakers addressing
issues that affect research. This year we will examine the topic of ethics
within research, Confirmed speakers so far include Alex Coulter, Arts
Co-ordinator, Dorset County Hospital and artist Elio Caccavale.
By way of supporting the event CADE will provide catering for participants
over the duration of the event as well as providing a night's pre paid
accommodation for up to ten students.
To submit a proposal please send abstracts of up to 500 words for a
presentation of around 20 minutes to [log in to unmask] by Friday 25th
February. You will be informed of the result of this by Friday 4th March.
We would also like to invite postgraduate students considering a career in
research to attend. The presentation of work is not a requirement for
participation but if you have it in mind to attend we would be grateful if
you could inform us of that intention by sending a mail to the same address.
Attendance on single days is also possible but once again please inform us
of your intentions.
