Precisely! The key concept here is that of "relationships".
Instead of orienting our search on "opportunism", perhaps we should
rather focus on the concept of "ability to build connections among
diverse elements and phenomena" (free interpretation of a French
neologism of "reliance", drawn by Prof. Jean-Louis Le Moigne from,
among many others, the work of the 17th-18th Century Italian Scholar,
Gian Battista VICO.)
Following Prof. Le Moigne's suggestion, could we recuperate, and use,
the concept behind the expression of "Sciences of Ingenium" in its
true original sense?
François-X.
