MIDDLE MANAGEMENT SKILLS
15 & 16 June 2005, London
This is a practical two-day workshop for those with some experience of management who want to develop their skills further. The workshop is applied to library and information work, with emphasis on managing the work of others.
BY THE END OF THE EVENT PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE:
* identified their strengths for teamwork and leadership
* broadened their understanding of group and team dynamics
* enhanced their practical management skills: conflict management and interpersonal skills
* shared ideas and experiences with others at a similar level.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Participants need at least four years of post-qualification experience and to be in a job, which includes the management of other people's work. It would be helpful if you have attended the Introduction to management skills workshop or have participated in a programme that included basic management skills.
WORKSHOP LEADER: SHEILA RITCHIE
Sheila is a consultant in the behavioural sciences applied to work. A chartered librarian, she works in the public and private sectors in the UK and overseas, specialising in the development of management skills.
