UTSG Annual Conference Call for Papers
--------------------------------------
The 38th Annual Universities' Transport Study Group Conference will take
place on 4th -7th January 2006 at Trinity College Dublin. Abstracts can
now be submitted for the Conference.
Thanks to Markus Hofmann, it will be possible to submit abstracts and
papers electronically to the UTSG website this year. However, this means
there are a number of significant changes to the procedures and so it is
important to read the following and the information provided on the
website http://www.utsg.net/conf.php before making your submission.
1. Abstracts should be submitted electronically using the web form on
the UTSG website http://www.utsg.net/conf.php before 31st August 2005.
2. If you wish your abstract to be considered for the Smeed Prize please
note a number of new procedures, in particular at the submission of
abstract stage. The changes are documented in full on the website and you
are advised to read them in advance of your submission. In particular, it
is important to note the following:
a) A longer abstract (1000 words) is required if it is to be considered
for the Smeed Prize.
b) Details of age, experience and other relevant information is required
to be submitted on the abstract submission form (see website)
c) All Smeed submissions must be accompanied with a signed approval or
confirmatory email from the candidate's supervisor. It is the candidate's
responsibility to ensure that this is sent to the conference co-ordinator
at the same time as the abstract is submitted.
All other information relating to abstract submission and the conference
can be found on the UTSG website http://www.utsg.net/conf.php. This
includes details of the required paper format, the timetable in relation
to abstract acceptance, paper submission etc.
I look forward to seeing you to Dublin.
Best regards
Margaret O'Mahony
