Hi Anne,
Stirling would be interested in sending staff for training on:
Load Profiles
Create Lists
Statistics
(And possibly Web Opac depending on the content)
Difficult to estimate numbers but probably only 1 for Load Profiles with
up to 4 or more for Create Lists/Statistics. We could host (which might
mean we could send more staff).

Subject: Training events 2005
The EIUG Committee is intending to organise some training events in the
forthcoming year and this message is to update you and to ask for your
feedback to assist in our planning.
Firstly, taking forward one of the suggestions from the Sheffield
conference, there will be an exchange of experience session on
Millennium Cataloguing in Durham on Monday, 28th February. (details to
be announced
shortly)
Secondly, the other ideas for topics which emerged from our discussions
suggested that an Innovative-led session would be the best and in some
cases the only way forward. These training events would be charged at
the
guide rate of $1000 for a 2-day course, pro-rated as appropriate. Such
an
event would need to be hosted by an Innovative site with a training
suite capacity for 10-12 participants. We would hope to be able to
stage at least one and perhaps two of these in 2005.
Graham Woodruff on behalf of Innovative has offered sessions in the
following areas:
Millennium Create Lists and Statistics
Web Opac
Load Profiling
Advanced Systems Administration
I have outlines of each of the sessions which I can forward to you if
you are interested in knowing more and there is also information on
CSDirect.
Please would you reply to me indicating:
1. Which of these areas your institution would be interested in in order
of priority
2. How many staff might attend.
3. Whether you would be willing to host a training event and how many
attendees you could accommodate
4. Any other ideas/suggestions you have for training events or exchange
of experience sessions
I look forward to hearing from you
Best wishes
Ann
