Well I'd be quite interested in a meeting with a slightly different
perspective.
The SENIT list does have regular meetings around the country (some
around London, some in the North). The local hosts really organise the
meetings, and they are more or less cost free (except people buy their
own lunch).
I haven't found a way of accessing reliable funding; although Becta do
host our mailing list, they don't do anything else.
I have been thinking about ways of trying to increase the size/diversity
of the meetings.
I'm currently beginning to organise a SENIT meeting at Meldreth for
later this term, so if any one wants to come from the assitech side of
things they would be welcome. If anyone wants to do a short presentation
on anything it would be more than welcome.
I could post onto this forum information about the date/wherabouts of
the meeting in a week or so, Similarly I could post information about
any future AT meetings on the SENIT forum.
And yes one of the most useful things about real meetings is really
meeting different people.
