Archives Assistant
An enthusiastic Archives Assistant is required by King's College London to
support reader services in a busy archive centre.
The College's rich and diverse holdings include the renowned military
history collection of the Liddell Hart Centre for Military Archives, as
well as the historical records of the College itself.
This post's main duties include registering and assisting readers,
retrieving and handling archives, processing copying requests and
answering enquiries.
Applicants should have a careful and thorough approach to work, an
interest in modern history, good communication skills and a strong
commitment to customer care.
The post provides a great introduction to the archives profession and
would be ideal for anyone interested in training as an archivist.
Salary will be within the CRA3 range, £16,276-£18,394, inclusive of £2,323
London allowance per annum. Holidays will be 20 days per year, plus
statutory holidays and 6 College closed days.
