Are you looking for a challenge? Interested in working with young people? Teesside Archives has an exiting new project working with Schools to deliver a range of activities to encourage positive use of archives. The work involves the creation of a work plan for Students aged 5-16 years. The postholder will work with Creative Partnerships, Teachers and local studies specialists across the Tees Valley to encourage the use of Teeside Archives as an education resource. An integral part of the work will be to demonstrate an impact to non-participant schools and bring archives to a wider range of young people. The postholder will also work closely with the Archives African project working on collecting of the memories of migrants to the area.
The successful candidate will need good interpersonal and communication skills, an understanding of the national curriculum and wider education policies.
