Yes, it is the Easter Vigil. The holy fire is sent down in - not above
- the Holy Sepulchre, and from it is lit the Paschal Candle and the
candles held by all the faithful. Very spectacular, but I don't know
when it was first recorded. Does Egeria mention it, for example?
