This half-day workshop is intended for staff who are required to negotiate contracts and licences for information products and who wish to do so in a way which best suits the needs of their organisation.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Information professionals who have responsibility for negotiating contracts and licence agreements as one part of their job, and who need to gain a better understanding of licence agreements and the challenges involved in contract negotiation.
WORKSHOP LEADER: PAUL PEDLEY
Paul is Head of Research at the Economist Intelligence Unit. He is a member of the Libraries and Archives Copyright Alliance, and on the Steering Group of the JISC Legal Information Service. Paul has written five books, including "Essential law for information professionals" by Facet Publishing. He has also edited "Managing Digital Rights" which is also published by Facet Publishing.
