medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Meg
Plug, plug! A trawl through the on-line sources linked from my 'Saints
at a Glance' page (originally based around Carolyn's 'Saints of the Day'
listings) is a quick and easy way to start, and you'll find a
particularly useful list of references on the
Biographisch-Bibliographisches Kirkenlexikon site.
Presumably to understand Servanus, it is necessary to understand
Kentigern - as well as Palladius.
All the best
Graham

Serf / Servanus is clearly a much more ancient patron of the Orkneys
than Magnús -
does anyone out there know more about him than what Phyllis told us?
What are the
primary sources concerning him?
Meg
