In the Eastern tradition, Christopher wasn't just a giant but a KEFALOS (sp
??) a "Dog headed man" - next door to a werewolf! I have a nice little
(modern) icon from Cyprus show C + Christchild where C has a distinctly
canine head. Isn't the message here that even the marginalised and the
brutal outcast can become saints - given the Grace of God ?
