The Thames Valley Sub Regional Group of The Society of Chief Librarians is
commissioning research into the feasibility of joining up library catalogue
and customer database services of member authorities in the Thames Valley
region. The Feasibility study is funded by the 7 partner authorities and
SEMLAC.
Attached is a consultancy brief that outlines the requirements in detail.
Key facts:
Consultancy experience required:
Electronic Services in a Library environment, preferably of feasibility, or
practical implementation, of new business systems.
Consultancy Fee:
Bids not exceeding £15,600 are invited. For bids of the same quality, a
lower fee will be favoured, but bids will be selected primarily for
closeness to the brief criteria, and the right is reserved not to select the
lowest bid.
Starting date:
28 June 2004 or as soon after this date as possible.
Priority will be given to submissions from consultants that can start
promptly, and complete within the timescale for the final report of 13
September 2004
Deadline for returning submissions:
7 June 2004
